This powerpoint covers the entire of GCSE Biology unit 1. The powerpoint has information, questions and answers that appear one at a time in manageable chunks to have an interactive revision session.
Designed for WJEC GCSE Biology as an easy-to-use booklet/PowerPoint resource. The booklet follows the Ppt. and covers everything students need to know for this section of the specification. This was done for an adult evening class where time was at a premium, but could be easily adapted for a series of lessons in a standard classroom environment.
I have created similar resources for the whole specification.
Created to support you with organising student grades on an Excel spreadsheet.
Practicals Tab:
Helps you to keep track of practical lessons.
Simply input a Y or N to record the practicals students have completed.
Assessment Record Tab:
Keeps all students grades in one place across Unit 1 -2.
There are 3 data drop entries for one academic year all formulas have been added to provide the most accurate predictions for end of KS4 grades using 2019 grade boundaries.
Spreadsheets are completely editable should you wish to change the grade boundaries.
Unit 2 Tracker Tab:
Helps to calculate final grade based on points gained using the 60% weighting.
This Knowledge Organiser is only suitable for the 2024 summer exam series.
The knowledge organiser covers what is required to answer questions about a Methodological Approach for Change over time (2024) and the Conceptual Framework for Mitigating Risk (2024).
I put this together to help Year 11 pupils with the free composition.
I created the word document and gave it out to pupils as a help booklet for them to keep beside them whilst composing. The 2nd document I incorporated into the same booklet. It includes a list of compositional devices, different types of structures and definitions of such terms, and a section on 'Do’s and Don’ts . The front page serves a checklist so they can sign things off once they’ve been incorporated.
Here are some slides to complement the extract and exercises on boxing in the WJEC GCSE English and English Language Higher Level course book, pages 62, 63 and 64. There are anagrams of keywords to do with boxing, true and false on the passage on Spencer Oliver (p.62) match up the opposite words, the pros and cons of boxing and a look at keywords. Some of my group have got EAL and need this kind of differentiation.
