A fun IWB resource to understand the concept of compound words. Go through the different slides sliding the jigsaw pieces together. To be used with whiteboards - children move the jigsaw pieces together and have a go at writing the compound word. Move the shape down to reveal the compound word. Included is a worksheet to consolidate understanding of compound words and a picture/word prompt to encourage the use of compound words during independent writing.
