A step by step guide to writing a successful story to fit many titles.
Each stage includes a mini success criteria each pupil has to meet in every paragraph of the story.
Once the story is complete, by meeting the mini success criterias along the way, the whole story should meet the GCSE Criteria set out by the WJEC Examination Board.
Each slide links to different religious symbolisms in the novel. I have included clear parallels with Adam and Eve, the Garden of Eden and baptism.
Quotes are included to use as evidence in extended essays.
This resource can be used whilst analysing different genres of TV game shows, in line with the AQA examination board requirements.
Pupils can fill in the work sheets whilst watching different genres of shows then use the analysis sheet to identify similarities and differences, therefore coming up with key conventions for each genre: activity orientated, dating, panel, puzzle and quiz.
During this presentation pupils will be able to plan, create and peer assess their own piece of description.
This is a FUN lesson that I have used for inset days, OfSTED lessons and even GCSE preparation lessons. It includes clear Success Criterias that pupils can use as a tick list of aspects to include in their descriptions. I have differentiated the Success Criteria for two differing abilities, therefore this lesson can suit any age ranges.
This lesson helps pupils to experience the sensation and emotions of going on a rollercoaster enabling them to plan a piece of description more successfully.
So, have fun, let pupils enjoy themselves and more importantly, happy teaching!
