9 exam-format picture questions for Task 3 (Pearson Edexcel), including teacher script for each. All questions are based on topics 1-4. Due to the new specification for 2025, there is a lack of practice material available. Using the existing examples, I have made a set of picture cards with teacher scripts to give my students some extra practice. Disclaimers: These cards are designed to challenge students to expand their range of vocabulary, grammar and expression. They are not intended as a prediction of the real topics which will be tested this year or in future years. I do not have access to the upcoming test materials and all of these cards were tested on my own class between January and March 2025. Having never worked for Pearson Edexcel, I can only infer the types of questions they will ask, but I have made sure to include opportunities to use a variety of tenses, express opinions and develop ideas. This should not be taken as a fully reliable guide. I have taken great care to only use photographs in the public domain or with CC licences which allow this kind of reuse. Players build power plants around a city while balancing their power output, pollution and happiness of the citizens. It is suitable for geography (land use), science (energy) or for special events such as Earth Day. It is also a popular choice for the end of term! This can be used as a full lesson (LO and SCs included in plan) or as a stand-alone lesson for Earth Day or the end of term. All you need is copies of the sheet, access to the rules and a six-sided die to play. This is a full lesson for KS2 or KS3. It is suitable for Year 4 and Year 5 children but there are optional rules and guidelines for increasing the complexity for older pupils.

Good and Evil: Some theists think that the good things that happen in the world are evidence that God exists and that we should be grateful for them. Some theists also think that it is wrong to blame God for moral evil because it is caused by human choices, not by God. Some atheists think that natural evil, such as floods, earthquakes and disease, are evidence that God does not exist. Design: Some theists think that such a complex and beautiful world must have been designed by God. Some atheists argue that evolution is a better explanation for the amazing variety of living things in the world, so this does not prove God exists. Some theists agree that evolution produced plants and animals, but believe that God is involved at the start or throughout the process and that it has a purpose. First Cause: Many theists believe that the universe could not have appeared out of nowhere, so must have been created by God. Some atheists argue that the universe was created by the Big Bang. Some theists agree, but believe that God was responsible for the Big Bang. Personal Experience Some theists believe in God because of personal experiences. These might include prayers or positive life experiences. Some theists also believe that they have experienced a miracle, or that someone they know or have heard about has experienced one. Some theists believe that this personal experience stops their life from being meaningless.

Practice word classes by creating silly sentences! This is a stand-alone lesson which can be used at any point in the year. It can be used to show instant progress in a test-teach-test format. Pupils review the differences between word classes and are challenged to make their own silly sentences. They are guided through making sentences more complex in a structured way, allowing discussion about each word class. Use of white boards is recommended. Pupils can show their progress verbally, by explaining word classes, or record sentences in books and annotate to show learning. Ideal SPAG/EGPS lesson between longer units for KS2.
