ESOL IGCSE Speaking Task 3 Picture Practice

9 exam-format picture questions for Task 3 (Pearson Edexcel), including teacher script for each. All questions are based on topics 1-4.

Due to the new specification for 2025, there is a lack of practice material available. Using the existing examples, I have made a set of picture cards with teacher scripts to give my students some extra practice.

Disclaimers:

• These cards are designed to challenge students to expand their range of vocabulary, grammar and expression. They are not intended as a prediction of the real topics which will be tested this year or in future years. I do not have access to the upcoming test materials and all of these cards were tested on my own class between January and March 2025.
• Having never worked for Pearson Edexcel, I can only infer the types of questions they will ask, but I have made sure to include opportunities to use a variety of tenses, express opinions and develop ideas. This should not be taken as a fully reliable guide.
• I have taken great care to only use photographs in the public domain or with CC licences which allow this kind of reuse. If there is any justified dispute, I will happily remove material and reimburse any earnings to appropriate licence holders.
