Interactive Animated Handwriting Helper PPT

This is my hand-made, hand-animated, handwriting resource that models both capital and lower-case letter formation. It also includes handy tips on breaking habits such as b/d p/q letter reversals, and sitting letters with descenders such as g, p, y on the line. Letters are organised by the 4 handwriting letter family set out in the National Curriculum: Curly Caterpillars, Ladder Letters, One-Armed Robots and Zig-Zag letters. The powerpoint itself is easy to navigate with links that quickly get you to the right slide, and the animations will loop so that your child can see exactly what they need to do whilst they practice. I have also included the option for both straight and looped variants of K.

Place Value Number Line Display 0-111

I set out to design the ultimate numberline for your KS1 (or LKS2) classroom, and here it is! It features: Numbers!!! (in words and numerals) A simple place value chart demonstrating number composition Red/Blue coloured borders to denote odd or even Numbers up to and slightly beyond 100, because who else winces whenever a Year 2 child tries to write 110? I printed mine 2 to a page, but if space is limited you could absolutely do 4 to a page.

Y1 + Y2 Common Exception Word Display Flash Cards

This is a set of colour-coded common exception word flashcards that that includes both the Year 1 and Year 2 words. They could be used as a teaching tool at home or at school, or use them as a permanent spelling display as I do in my classroom. I have designed them to be low-cognitive load, whilst highlighting the ‘tricky’ part (as taught by Little Wandle Letters & Sounds), and if displayed in groups of colour-coding, will enable children to spot spelling patterns that transfer between similar words.

Colour coded replacement 100 square inserts

I made these to replace my TTS 100 square pocket chart numbers - they seem to be a fairly universal size of around 5cmx5cm. Each column is a different colour to highlight that numbers that go up by 10 always have the same amount of ones. Hope they’re useful to someone else!
