Animal Breathing Techniques for The Classroom
How the World Breathes - Animal Breathing Techniques for the Classroom
A Science + Wellbeing resource for ages 5- 12. Celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday with this beautiful, ready-to-use breathing session inspired by the animal kingdom.
Children will discover how different animals breathe, practise three distinct techniques, and explore how breathing affects how we feel in our bodies -combining curriculum science with powerful wellbeing tools.
What’s included:
Falcon Breath - short, sharp sniff breaths to boost alertness and focus. Perfect for the start of a lesson, after lunch, or before PE.
Turtle Breath - a slow, extended exhale to calm the nervous system and reduce stress. Ideal before tests, after conflict, or during quiet transitions.
Whale Breath - a full-body, powerful exhale to release tension and build body awareness. Great at the end of the day or after sport.
