Year 8 Design & Technology – LED Mood Night Light Project Workbook
A comprehensive Year 8 Product Design project that combines resistant materials, sustainability, CAD/CAM, electronics and manufacturing. Students design and manufacture a colour-changing LED mood light inspired by contemporary design movements and designers, while developing practical workshop skills and a deeper understanding of design technology.
This project takes students through the complete design process from research and specification writing to CAD design, manufacturing, quality control and evaluation.
Students will learn to:
