Lesson designed for low ability year 10 exploring the theme of humanity in A Christmas Carol. Lesson prompt students to look at contemporary social issues and art and relates these to ACC.

Lesson focuses on introducing students to the multi-faceted nature of Africa and looks at the dangers of stereotyping. The introduction is a quiz centred on establishing students’ prior knowledge of the continent and their perceptions of Africa. Main activity encourages students to work in groups and research into different African countries. The lesson is versatile and can be used across a range of subjects.
