Year 1, addition, whole part model and number line worksheets

A range of activities to practice using the whole part model, number line and number sentences to practise skills. Used in a Continuous Provision style learning. Only charging because of how long it took me. Children use the sheets, cut up into the boxes, to change number sentences from one form to another. Some are blank to allow children to create their own. All working towards number bonds to 10, addition within 10 and allowing for some use and discussion of the communitive rule if prompted by an adult.

Template to use when writing instructions. We are using them for instructing on how to make a plastic jellyfish but could easily be adjusted. Boxes on the left hand side can be left blank for the children to draw their own pictures or filled with photos of the activity to remind those who struggle remembering. Used last year and worked very well with chn with a range of abilities after modeling. Hope its useful, please leave feedback!

Worksheets for finding the difference, Year 1, to be used with counters

(0)
Mine really struggled to find the difference between numbers. So I’ve made a few worksheets to help them work through it. They start by just using counters on the green coloured activities, one colour for one animal and a different for another, then compare. When they are used to that, they can move onto the yellow and start creating the number sentences and use the answer to fill in a stem sentence. Then they move onto the red and fill in all of the stem sentence, then on the purple begin to link to number lines and counting back. Hope this makes sense and this is useful! Please leave a review

First week of Spring block 2 planning for Year 1. Has some worksheets/activities based off the WR guidance and some labels/ready to print versions of the WR activities. Based on three different levels in a class with some adult support. Writing in italics is resources needed, writing in bold is how it may be recorded in books. Hope it can help somebody! If it is useful, I can start to upload the later versions as well.
