I created this power point for a staff meeting I had to deliver summarising the new code. To make it more interesting I added an activity involving sharing ideas on strategies to support different pupil needs. Took me ages to put together, hope it saves time for someone else!

This resource can be used as an emotions fan or flashcard/chart to help children recognise and express their emotions. Linked to the theme of dinosaurs to engage those that love dinosaurs. Created specifically for an Autistic pupil who struggles with describing his emotions and has an interest in dinosaurs.

This resource is intended to help children with Autism who struggle to regulate their emotions and get angry over work tasks. This particular child doesn’t like to get things wrong and can have outbursts. Social stories can help children deal with their emotions and understand how to behave when in tricky situations. This social story is editable and can be adapted to different situations. I hope this will be a useful resource.
