This was created for a themed Halloween school event. There are 2 PowerPoints - 1 where the pupils have to guess the name of the music and another where pupils have to guess the name of the movie. I’ve also uploaded some Halloween jokes (without answers).

This is just a visual aid for my pupils as an opening to the exam to help them better understand the topics. I have just used the artists / work referred to in the AQA GCSE Photography 2022/2023 Exam series - pupils will obviously need to investigate relevant sources and produce their own responses to the topic chosen.

This is a booklet I created for my GCSE Photography group - it has a list of photographers with a selection of their images. Due to the nature of our provision, we do the course over a 10 month period so this is a nice way to help pupils whittle down their selections quickly.

Our school have recently made us create curriculum intents for our subjects. This is the one I created with my maths department. Hopefully it will help provide at least a springboard for other people, if they have been asked to do this also. We are an AP, and so, the information may not be as relevant to your own.

Our school has recommended that we all create a curriculum sequence and so I’m sharing the one I made with my department. Hopefully other people can get inspiration and ideas from it. We are an AP and currently only teach up to Foundation level at GCSE - as a result, the information may not be as relevant or challenging for your pupils.

These are 10-minute worksheets that cover basic numeracy skills. Each worksheet marks the work as the student completes it - it will go green if they’ve got it right and red if they’ve got it wrong. Additionally, if they get the question right, it will automatically give them 1 mark (0 marks if it is wrong). It then totals each section, as well as giving an overall total for the sheet. It also provides a percentage. It basically marks the work for the pupils as they complete the worksheet. I have been using these in my setting (an alternative provision) for both KS3 and KS4 pupils during the lockdown for pupils remote learning. As it marks the work for the pupils as they go, it helps if there are non-specialists who are teaching maths during this time. THE QUESTIONS ARE NOT MY OWN! These are just the Numeracy Ninja questions designed to fill gaps in students’ basic mental calculation strategies and also to empower them with the numeracy skills and fluency required to fully access GCSE Maths concepts when they move to Key Stage 4 study. Each worksheet, is a worksheet from Numeracy Ninja that I have just converted into an excel spreadsheet and formatted to turn different colours depending on the answer and then provide totals.
