Students pair up and the one with the card shows their partner the 3 views. The students with the cubes tries to make the object. they then compare with the correct answer on the reverse of the card. Students then swap and reapeat activity. You will probably need to print 2 sets of the cards. Better if the cards are laminated to be used again.

Differentiated activity for collecting like terms. Students have the blank pyramid and then have a set of smaller ‘bricks’ that they need to correctly place to complete the pyramid. The rule is theat 2 bracks must be added to make the brick above them. Each colour is a diiferent level of difficulty. Negative number game (boxes) starter/plenary

(10)
This is a two player game. Based on the old game of ‘boxes’ where you have to get the most number of squares on a dotty grid by joining up two dots and take it in turns until all boxes have been filled. In this version you have to add up the score as you go along and each box has an integer in it from 5 to -5 and students have to add their scores together as they go along. This is to get students to add small positive and negative numbers.

Collecting like terms 'boxes' game - Algebra

(21)
This game is like the game I played when I was little where you join dots together to make a box, when you complete a box it becomes yours. This has an added twist where each box has a term in it and as you win a box you have to the terms together. You need to keep a running total. Students check each others totals at the end to check they have not made any mistakes. I have others like this on negative numbers. See my other resources.

This is a differentiated worksheet on using y=mx+c. it covers stating the gradient and intercept, using the equation to find a coordinate given either the x or y value and then finding parallel lines to a given line. the sheet gets harder as it goes through and also students can do just the gradient/intercept or they can do all bits. There are lots of options to how you use it.
