An all-in-one powerpoint lesson for students studying the poem 'Tissue'. The lesson has opportunities for analysis: independent, class and group work. There is also a comparative writing task included to support writing proficiency for exam style questions. Resources for the lesson are included in the ppt and can be printed off and then copied on A4 or A3. Included is a comprehensive, stanza by stanza analysis (exploring content, language, structure, power and conflict relevance) for the teacher who can adapt this to use in the lesson or for use as it is. This is an excellent pack of posters that can be copied onto A3 sized paper, laminated and strategically placed in spaces, communal areas etc. in the days preceding the literature exams to give students the visual boost and reminders they need. The powerpoint can also be used in class for revision and supports students aiming for 5-9. Literature texts covered are Macbeth, Jekyll and Hyde and An Inspector Calls. There are simple chapter reminders and includes an essential one word quote for each chapter and Act (Grade 5-6) and a 2-3 word quote for each chapter and Act (Grade 7-9). There are linked quotes for themes for all the texts to support student referencing as they write. Most importantly, there is a clear 5 step process for students to remember that fits any AQA literature exam.
