Around the world

Disney Theatrical Group (DTG) brings live entertainment to an audience of over 20 million people in 50 countries each year. With 24 productions currently produced or licensed, a Disney musical is being performed professionally somewhere on the planet virtually every hour of the day.

DTG is proud of its long history of bringing theatre to British audiences with productions of Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mary Poppins (a co-production with Cameron Mackintosh), Aladdin, Shakespeare in Love, and Frozen playing in London’s West End and touring the UK.

The Lion King continues to enthral audiences in its 26th year at London’s Lyceum Theatre, and Disney’s newest musical, Hercules, will premiere at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane this June.

Initiatives and programmes

Through education rates, resource packs, workshops and outreach programmes, DTG is proud to engage with more than 60,000 students in the UK each year.

Disney Theatrical Education runs a variety of initiatives and programmes for schools and young people which aim to:

  • Unlock the learning potential of live theatre through teaching resources, workshops, careers education.
  • Support future audiences and industry professionals, including scholarships and apprenticeships.
  • And providing opportunities for under-resourced schools and young people such as artist in residence in primary schools.
