We were delighted to submit a nomination for Inclusive School of the year following our previous entries for Secondary School of the year in 2021 and 2022 and Mental Health Initiative of the Year in 2022. We are incredibly proud of the achievements we have made in these areas and therefore wanted to showcase these on a larger scale hence our nominations.
The awards ceremonies that we have had the privilege of attending, including the virtual ceremony in 2021 have been amazing events. They also highlighted the value that education has for all young people in our schools across the country.
Our achievements with the Tes awards have allowed us to share our good practice on a greater scale and everyone here at the school takes immense pride in playing a part in that success. Receiving recognition provides everyone with a much-needed boost while we continue to face challenges in our day-to-day work.
Sharing our success with our young people and their families also lets them know that they are part of a very special school and should be incredibly proud to say that they are a pupil and member of our wider community. As a school, we have always held high expectations and aspirations for all of our young people and work hard to ensure that everyone will be helped towards their fullest spiritual, educational, social, vocational and physical development.
The awards go a long way to further support that we are doing our best and are successfully delivering our mission to everyone. Participating in the awards also gives us the opportunity to further evidence our good work and support our ongoing journey of improvement.
I would encourage all schools to take the chance to highlight and share their good work in any way that they can, and the Tes awards certainly supports a clear focus on everything that we do well that deserves to be celebrated.
