Healthy Bodies - Year 2 - PSHE Free Scheme of Work
Our spiral curriculum builds progressively year on year, culminating in this Year 2 unit on Healthy Bodies. Pupils first encountered this topic in EYFS, when they explored simple ways to keep their bodies clean and well. In this unit, they will deepen their understanding of healthy bodies by learning about healthy habits, cleaning their teeth, sleep routines, how medicines can help us, and ways to manage their feelings. We will also discuss why these habits are important for staying well. This topic is intended as a foundation for understanding health, which will be developed in greater depth in later years.
