This year, the Eden Project is bringing The Big Lunch and The Big Help Out together on 5-8 June for one big do – a weekend of friendship, food, fun and action. We’ve created this set of resources to help your schools and pupils get involved by developing their own social action project.
Whether it’s raising awareness, supporting a local cause or bringing people together, this programme provides a simple way to turn good intentions into meaningful action – helping your students see that they can be part of positive change in their community. Taking part will help build confidence, encourage teamwork and give a sense of purpose.
These lesson plans are designed to take up approximately 20 minutes each (sessions 1 – 3) and then 40 minutes (sessions 4 & 5 combined). They are all accompanied by a student worksheet, and a PowerPoint to support you in delivering.
