A-level English Language introductory lesson focussing on Word Classes

Lesson plan, PPT on word classes, student handout on word classes, homework text. This lesson is one I designed to work with my home tuition students to check their understanding at the start of the course. Its focus is on word classes but it also asks them to list and define subject vocabulary and talk about their knowledge of the history of the English language. I have used the lesson and the accompanying homework, to understand where my students are, and what I need to focus on/ any gaps in knowledge that I need to fill. I hope it helps.
