A lesson presentation to assist students in using critical perspectives and literary theory to shape and strengthen their ideas (fulfilling the AO3 component of the OCR A2 exam criteria). Images are used to have students think about characters and events and form statements (e.g. 'Edmund overthrows his father and brother') and to develop and conceptualise them ('Edmund sets up a new, more ‘natural’ order'). Includes essay questions and a model of how using critical perspectives helps students improve their own discussion and analysis.
