To celebrate the cinema release of A United Kingdom on 25th November and encourage students to become unity ambassadors who promote tolerance and respect for others in their schools, National Schools Partnership and Into Film with Pathé have launched The Power of Unity.

This inspirational, free educational resource, which supports the PSHE/LLW/PSE/Health and Wellbeing and History curricula, as well as SMSC education and Black History Month, uses the inspiring film A United Kingdom to help young people, aged 11-18 across the UK, discover the power that unity has to transform societies and shape British values.

This is an excellent resource with well laid out and accessible resources. The hyperlinks within the powerpoint mean that all content is contained within the resource and the character cards and teacher notes are straightforward and user friendly.
The important quotations for student development and focus are clearly arranged in a different font and colour to immediatley draw the learners attention to them.
The story is powerful and encourages discussion amongst pupils.
