Dear friends,

This is advice on an important subject: crossing the street at an intersection. First, when you are crossing do not day dream; be aware of the seriousness of the mattter. Wait for a new walk sign; this will keep the traffic you are dealing with moving slowly. The most danger comes from cars turning into your path. A green light in the nonstopped road allows cars to turn into your path. A person trying to beat an old green light is a big danger; he turns into your path quickly and may even do so with a yellow or even red light! So use this rule: choose the right road of an intersection and wait for a new walk signal. When lights change, both lights are red allowing you to progress to the middle of your road's path. Traffic is stopped in both directions. Turning cars may be blocked by cars seeking to go ahead. When you cross on the left road of an intersection, you get to the middle of the road and the next section is the turning lane cars go into at full speed (very dangerous).
