This resources includes 4 example writing tasks based on the AQA mark scheme for GCSE English Language for creative writing.
In the 4 samples story openings, each has a different writing prompt with one for level 6, one for level 7, one for 8 and one for 9.
Students may also use the A5 mini student-friendly mark scheme to assess the writing samples.
Challenge activities might include removing the level bands and letting the students judge for themselves, critiquing the essays, writing the ending to each story or re-writing the same prompt but changing the genre!
