Additional Chemistry AQA - Keyword and definition bingo.
This contains a set of questions and a pack of pre-made cards. This can be used as a starter, plenary or revision activity.
This covers all of the key concepts in the unit. Other bingo games are available for the other units too.
There are not that many revision activities for A-Level students, especially on the SNAB course, so these are revision sheets/posters, which have questions for students to complete. These questions are taken from the spec, so if they complete the posters it should cover the whole topic. There are instructions also included.
Please Note: all pictures unless otherwise stated have been sourced from the creative commons website and have no copyright on them, so I have permission to use them without attribution and for any purpose.
Covers the main topic areas and keywords from the AQA specification.
This can be used as a whole class activity or these can be printed as double-sided cards for students to use in small groups. The aim of the task is to select the question that the least people got right when asked the same question. Who therefore can get the lowest score is the winner. There are a few pointless answers in there too.
Great for challenge and to really extend the most able while also supports other students with reinforcing keywords.
Revision loop card activity for Additional Biology. Students need to cut out the cards and then sequence them so that the question on one card matches the answer on the next one. If the student get them correct, it will form a loop.
The answer sheet is also provided so that you can quickly check response and identify any mistakes made by the student(s).
A great activity to challenge students - who is quickest; to assess students and highlight misconceptions.
Loop cards include questions about:
cells, specialised cells, sperm, palisade, diffusion, osmosis, membrane, mitochondria, ribosome
The idea works that students should know the foundation building blocks around the edge of the page.
The task therefore is to work inwards and begin to summarise these key points in the middle, only focusing on the things they have forgotten.
The final task is to get this all on to a postcard - their revision notes to take away! This makes it all manageable for the student.
This is one topic only and the full unit can be downloaded as a complete file.
Revision quiz for paper 2 of the Additional Science AQA specification.
39 questions.
Can be completed as a revision exercise. (B2,C2 &P2)
This is a mixture of multiple choice and open ended questions. Pupils can hold up cards or whiteboards to indicate answers. You can then see where the issues are.
