Free 57-page AQA GCSE Physics (8463) Paper 1 revision guide: energy, electricity, particles and the atom, with marked exam answers and a practice paper.

Sixteen topics, each on two pages. Learn it gives sixty seconds of the topic, the facts to know with a circle to colour (knew it, shaky, missed), key words with a box to tick, and a Spot it question. Use it gives a diagram or table, an exam question answered and marked in red pen (a few lose marks, so pupils see why), a Try it question to answer, and a blank box to write from memory.

Then the skills pages: equations, units and circuit symbols; a map of which equation to use; a units and rearranging drill; graphs and data; all five required practicals step by step, with results to analyse; what AQA’s examiners saw students get wrong; and four six-mark answers, marked. It finishes with a 90-mark practice paper, with answers, and a tracker.

The facts follow AQA’s specification. The exam advice comes from AQA’s own Paper 1 papers, mark schemes and examiners’ reports. Every question was written for this guide. Content for Higher tier only is marked HT, and content that is Physics only (not in Combined Science) is marked too.

Print it double-sided as a class set, or put it on your school’s own system. It is an independent resource, not produced or endorsed by AQA. This is a first edition and no serving teacher has read it through yet, so if you spot anything that should change, please tell us in a comment.
