Assessment / test on plants year 7 KS3

This resource should ideally be printed on A3 paper. Progression from each task. A middle ability group will probably take 30-40 minutes to complete this activity. Tasks are differentiated and can be delivered to all abilities. This is an ideal end of term assessment. Once marked, a help sheet is provided for pupils to improve sections they didn't do so well in - independent learning. Upon completion of improvement work challenge tasks are also available. Again, using any textbook or IT resource pupils are able to complete challenge tasks either chosen by teacher or by themselves. I usually allow students who have done well in their assessment to complete all 4 challenge tasks, those that have a lot of improvement work to do will only complete one challenge task of their choice. Challenge tasks are also great for homework.
