Bert and Mary - dictations, worksheets and extensions (simple sounds)

This resource includes:
BM WORKSHEETS AND EXTENSIONS - 30 worksheets to assist pupils during a very short weekly guided dictation (3 sentences each week). The dictation follows the adventures of Bert and Mary plus other characters. Each worksheet includes the sounds of the week and the text of the dictation with space for letter-tracing, copy-writing and a picture box. PLUS, 30 extension worksheets which include simplified wordsearches relating to the spelling/sound lists, letter-searches and a tracing/picture exercise.

BM SPELLING/SOUND LISTS - 30 sheets containing a weekly list of simple alphabet sounds (3 sounds each week). The sheets can be used for spelling and letter formation practice following the system of Read Cover Write Check.
BM TEST SHEETS - 8 blank test sheets in blocks of 4 weeks. Each test sheet has pictures and words to prompt pupils during the test of alphabet sounds.

BM - Bert and Mary (simple sounds)
JT - Jill and Tom (1-syllable cvc words)
FF - Fred the Flea (1-syllable words with common spelling patterns)
