Every October, Black History Month is a celebration of all Black life, including Black lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace people.
For all of us at Stonewall, Black History Month is an opportunity to highlight the work and contributions of Black LGBTQ+ people, which are too often forgotten and erased.  That’s why we’ve created these Black History Month assemblies, which celebrate Ted Brown as well as the LGBTQ+ and Black liberation movements of the 1970s.

This assembly is for students in Key Stage 3 or 4.

There are assemblies for special schools and mainstream schools, primary and secondary. Use the version of the assembly that will work best for your pupils.

Take a look at our other resources to find assemblies for:
Reception and Key Stage 1
Key Stage 2
Special schools (including a Widget symbol supported version)
