This is a role playing activity in which students are given 10 dollars each and told to invest it where ever they see fit.
Throughout the lesson these shares will increase in value and students can continue to trade at designated points in the lesson. At the end of the lesson the market will crash and the students will will have to see whether they are now a a loss or gain.

I agree with the above and have decided to not hand out money - but instead ask students to record on a table how much money they are making. That said, the resource is most helpful and thank you very much!
Very useful resources. You do however have THINK how to apply them to your class and prepare additional powerpoint materials to make the lesson work. If you have a faculty assistant - get them to do the cutting out of the dollar bills and cents - very time consuming. Thank you for sharing.
