This is a lesson on 'Weihnachten in Deutschland' or 'Christmas in Germany'. It has been taken from my scheme of lessons so if this proves useful, you may find my other lessons helpful too. There is christmas vocabulary to learn and some cultural traditions to talk about as well astro video hyperlinks for added interest.

I hope this helps.
I produced this Ppt to give students an idea of how Christmas is celebrated in Germany. It is based on the family traditions of our German Assistant, therefore that's not to say that every family in Germany celebrates in that way.
Christmas celebrations in different European countries are in the focus of this resource which starts with a simple vocabulary revision. There are some extensive reading activities with different comprehension tasks followed by a writing and a speaking activity. The grammatical focus is on 'denn' and 'weil' together with ways of expressing an opinion in German. Thank you for your feedback last year which has inspired me to create this resource.
This Revision Aid can help pupils to understand the logic behind German sentence structure. Rules have been explained in a very simple way with examples and activities provided. It has helped in my classes in the development of writing skills and in improving reading skills.
Please feed back. Thanks.
