Christmas Zig Zag subordinate clause direct speech

I created this lesson for Year 5 but it would also be valid for Year 4 (or even as revision for Year 6). Chn order the Xmas story from 7 simple statements and then watch a (9 minute) video clip (embedded-click stable scene in notebook) of the story to revise the story. Chn work in 7 groups to develop a section of the story from their initial sentence. The notebook details each step to take and includes information for the children for 3 separate visualiser stops (partners). Ultimately, a zig zag book is created for each 7 children. Extras can be copied to supplement an incomplete book.
