A simple Christmas game with a mathematical twist. Lots of opportunities for developing mathematical vocabulary and social skills, such as turn taking. The game board is very visual and could be enlarged to A3 for small group purposes.

This was great with my SEN yr 8 and 9 students. It can be adapted to whatever maths you want to do. I laminated everything and wrote the sums we had been learning (subtractions from teen values or number bonds to 10 or 20) on the baubles and when they won them they had to answer the questions. The santa squares can be used to ask &quot;process&quot; questions like &quot;which number , the biggest or the smallest goes on the bottom in a subtraction&quot; or prediction questions like &quot; If I start counting down in 5s from 61 what is my next number&quot;. <br /> Really good fun to end the christmas term. Thanks

What a brilliant game! The children in my pre-school will love playing this as they are really into their counting at the moment. Thanks
