The first of a series of texts to develop the skill of paraphrasing. Short Reuters Press stories have been used. An adapted version (version 2) is added for EAL students, and this may also be useful for those with SEN. Illustrations are also included for the benefit of these students.\nThe activity involves students underlining the important content from the text, and then rephrasing them to produce a paraphrased version.\nA completed paraphrased version is included for use in the plenary.
