Gravity is an attractive force that all objects have for one another. The amount of the gravitational force between two objects is directly proportional to the product of their two masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers of mass. The force of gravity is not constant. This Exploration Brief explains the different gravity environments that astronauts can experience and includes an investigation in which students create microgravity.
