Down These Mean Streets (American Identity)

What Is An American? (Who Am I? Issue of Identity and Culture) Down These Mean Streets serves as the foundation for the exploration of identity and culture.The students will explore how their cultural heritage influences their identities. Each student will identify, at least one, cultural lineage with which he identifies (e.g., I identify myself as an American Jew). The students will explore and develop historical and cultural highlights of their heritages. The report, three to five pages in length will include food,biographies,myths and folktales historical benchmarks.
