This final unit on West Arnhem Land aims to provide tourists with an appreciation of the isolation in the wilderness surrounding the Cooper Creek. By drifting along a billabong and into an offshoot water way the sense of a quiet environment is gained. However the top saltwater crocodile predator is present, though not all that obvious. This tour fits into the idea of ecotourism. It ends with the setting sun which causes colour changes in the landscape. The final two pages provide an opportunity for students to prepare (with assistance) a pamphlet highlighting possible experiences for visitors to the Davidson Lodge. The focus here is to provide an awareness of the ecosystem. This unit fits into the theme of ecotourism. It can stand alone but it can broaden understanding of the Mount Borredaile area by linking it with units 10 and 11.
