This is a great information lesson (find out for yourself) or can be used for revision after or during topic SB4. It will take pretty much all lesson.
It is a good team building lesson where students can share ideas and have fun.
This is a triple Biology version as it includes development of Darwin’s theory.
SB4 A B C content involved in the information pack.
An instruction sheet is included as well as the information packet and the questions.
This can be completed a couple of different ways or you can make it your own:
Stick two copies of the question sheet behind your desk. Students are in groups of 4. Each time they need to answer a question the group must decide on the question number they need to pick from numbers 1-35. They are to answer a different question each time they come up to the front. They need to take it in turns to come up to the front read their question, memorise it, tell their group and then they need to find the answer and write it in their own words.
Alternatively, you can hold the copy of the question sheet and instead of the students reading and memorising the question, they give you the question number, you read it, they memorise it then they go and tell their group and find the answer.
A group cannot move onto another question until they have all finished finding the answer and have written it in their own words in their book.
Each group must have an answer pack (on this document print pages 2-8, print 2 pages to a page and double sided, and laminate them).
The answers to the questions are in the text, as this is a comprehension task.
This can be a fun find out yourself lesson or for revision purposes after topic 4 has finished.
