Two powerpoints. P3.4 is a cheap and cheerful lesson. P3.5 is an activity, inspired by Practical Action, where pupils construct there own turbine and power it with hairdriers to lift mass. Hence they can calculate energy (mgh), power, and use the power of the hairdrier to get an efficiency.
