Not much about on the internet so I have put this together to use as an introduction to the main section of my lesson. It went pretty well, followed up with a plenary of the card sort from another contributor.

Great powerpoint, good clips to show before giving out homework on extremophiles. Gave them a starting point to see what they could research.

Good idea, but I'm not sure how to use this within a lesson. Will try to adapt it to fit though!
A good idea, seeing whereabouts in the world you find extremophiles. Students could be asked to find more examples for their homework (e.g. http://nai.arc.nasa.gov/poster/poster_images/astrobioactivity1-studenthandout.pdf).
