A fishing bowl and set of 30 fish to use as a simple table top counting aid. Laminate the fish and back with foam sheeting or card after cutting them out to make them last longer / studier for small hands to handle. Laminate the bowl to use with playdough as well.

Fantastic resource. Brilliant resource. Got four goldfish bowls and laminated them then copied several of the fish and put numerals on them. Blew up a paddling pool and put the fish in the pool. Played a simple matching game with the children and if they got two cards the same they put them into their goldfish bowl. I also drew a picture of a goldfish bowl and asked the chidlren to write the number of cards they had won at the end of the activity. Will probably adapt the resource for literacy and put letters or phonemes on them. Ideal for reception and key stage 1 children. Saved me lots of time. Thanks
