25 exam-style questions, providing practice for the AQA GCSE Biology Specification Point 4.1.1 - Cell Structure. The questions are 1 to 6 marks (with the 6 markers being level marked questions), and the document is in .pdf format.

I typically use these questions as an assessment at the end of the AQA GCSE Biology Specification Point 4.1.1 Cell Structure subtopic, and ask students to mark the questions themselves in order for them to get a feel for the mark scheme and to develop their exam technique. They’ve been tailored specifically to the AQA course, but should still serve as useful revision for the Edexcel or OCR courses too.

I find that it’s best to use the resource when a) completing the subtopic for the first time, b) right before Y10 EOYs, c) right before Y11 Mocks or d) just before Study Leave starts, so students can use them freely.

Another option is to use them together with the exam-style questions for Spec Points 4.1.3 (Transport in Cells) and 4.1.2 (Cell Division), in order to test the entirety of Topic 1: Cell Biology. All of these resources (mark schemes included) can be found in this bundle (for 52% cheaper too).
