A GCSE revision lesson and song about the problems of Tsarist Russia of Nicholas II, set to the tune of Oasis’s ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’. Lyrics and lesson plan ideas have been provided. The lesson plan has several activities and ideas that are differentiated and adaptable to suit all abilities. Group work is encouraged. A worksheet that allows for the consolidation of students’ understanding of the problems in Russia at the start of the 20th Century is also supplied.
This lesson has been tested on GCSE students and received very well by students and staff alike.
