For IB Physics Exams in 2024

This free download contains 550+ resources mapped to the current IB Physics specification (Standard Level and Higher Level).

The resources are organised in folders for each core topic and includes some resources for Astrophysics Option topic D.

Types of resources include:

  • powerpoints
  • problem sheets (including fully worked solutions)
  • practical worksheets (including sample data and sample write-ups for each)
  • starter demonstrations
  • ICT tasks
  • notes
    and lots more!

It took me over 4 years to write all these resources. They were previously sold on a website I owned called Guzled, but I closed that down in January 2020 when I launched GradePod. I suppose I could sell them on here too, but Guzled never really existed as a money-making empire and I’d like to offer them for free.

I only have three requests…

  1. Please could you review them below?
  2. If any of your students are looking for extra online support with GCSE or IB Physics, would you consider referring them to the GradePod website?
  3. If any of your colleagues would like these free schemes of work and resources, please refer them to this TES listing (instead of just forwarding the resources on to them)

I haven’t managed to cover every single learning objective, but I’m not far off it! Also, the resources are in pdf form, but I include a tool for you to convert them to Microsoft Word (included in the download) if you want to edit them.

Please be mindful that you can’t edit them and share them online (or sell them as your own!) - I think that’s covered in the TES licence anyway…!

Hope they help!
Sally

Definitely an incredible resource and I'm so grateful you've offered it so generously. I'm a first year teacher to IB and was really struggling with resourcing especially as I teach a combined SL/HL course and needed to figure out how to ensure SL students are able to complete meaningful work while I cover HL content (my head is still spinning!) Absolutely everything you could wish for is in here - I especially appreciate the lesson plans with suggested time slots for each activity, the practical starters and, of course, the worksheets with answers. Thank you so much!!

This resource is well thought out and extremely well presented. Useful for the delivery and revision of topics, application of concepts with real life examples. Excellent is an understatement!!

Fantastic resource! So much care, effort and attention has been put into this.
I accessed this through GradePod and have now been using this for my first month covering unit 1 and unit 5.3 and 5.4 with my 12s and 13s respectively. It has been a dream. The lessons are planned and laid out with exquisite care and everything that you would need is there. Although I have added a few of my own resources to the Unit 1 content, it wasn't needed and I have followed the Unit 5 content down to the letter.
This is a must for any teachers new to teaching the IB, teachers wanting to get inspiration or new approaches, or teachers looking for additional resources. It has certainly given me more confidence to pursue a much more practical based approach with my students. I am really enjoying this and my students certainly seem engaged. I am looking forward to starting units 2 and 6.
I would also thoroughly recommend GradePod and have been directing my students to the YouTube channel. I particularly like the new SPOTLIGHT videos and will be recommending these before and end of unit tests.
Thank you Sally!
