The dots follow the centre line of each stroke (not a hollow outline), and small hollow circles mark the dots and knots to fill in. Pink and grey guide lines show where the top line (shirorekha) and the base line go. Every page gives the sound, the word in English letters and its meaning.
Every letter and word is checked against standard Hindi spelling. Pictures: Noto Color Emoji (open licence) and simple, original Diwali drawings; no photos.
