Holiday Bird Feeder

Make a bird feeder in the Norwegian Christmas tradition. Christmas is celebrated all over the world. While the basic beliefs are the same, the traditions are different wherever you go. Juleneks, bundles of grains left out for birds, are a sign of Christmas in Norway. Long ago, families put out juleneks on Christmas Eve. If birds ate the grains, it was considered good luck for the next farming season. Juleneks tied with brightly colored ribbons are often hung on doors, poles, tree branches or railings.
