Idioms [connecting idiom and text meaning] [sport] [5]

An idiom is a phrase that, when taken as a whole, has a meaning you wouldn’t be able to work out from the meanings of the individual words.
In this simple activity learners have to try and match an idiom with the correct meaning. To help the learners understand this concept if they correctly match the pairs the “meaning” will turn yellow, if not it will turn red. It means that learners can move the “meanings” around until they match the correct pair.
All of my activities are created on an Acer Chromebook in a series of Posts on a Google Blog.
