Introduction to the Holocaust Footballers Remember

This short educational film builds on the England football squad’s historic 2012 visit to the site of the Nazi concentration and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland. Using historical footage and contemporary interviews with Holocaust survivors and members of the England squad, INTRODUCTION TO THE HOLOCAUST: FOOTBALLERS REMEMBER will stimulate students’ interest and set the stage for more detailed study. The accompanying teachers' notes contain lesson plans which use two other resources already featured on the TES website: Defining the Holocaust and Pre-war Jewish Life.
