Presentation includes material for several lessons and covers areas from the National Curriculum for children to be able to:
• understand that the same material can be a solid and a liquid, eg ice & water
• know that melting and freezing are changes that can be reversed
• understand that not all changes are reversible and this leads to the formation of new materials
• understand that solid and liquid mixtures can be separated through filtering, sieving and evaporation
• know that some solids can dissolve into liquid solutions and that it is still present (even if not seen)
