This is a free resource. It has taken a lot of time to craft and tweak. So if you would like to visit my amazon shop https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/147a9gr03bshz?ref_=wl_share and treat my students or me to something for my teacher toolkit, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, enjoy the resource!

KS3 - ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’ - Alfred Lord Tennyson - Rhythm and Repetition Lesson

This lesson works well using musical instruments or noise making items to really help students to hear the sound patterns within the poem.

Resources here include the PPT (last slide has the printable plenary thought bubble) with Youtube link and printable poem.

The lesson should guide them through understanding the poems story and then allow students to write in response to the rhythm and repetition used in the poem.

Feel free to edit and adapt as you see fit. Enjoy.
