This is a stand alone, ready to go English lesson that is perfect KS3 preparation for GCSE Paper 1. There are some easy retrieval questions along with some higher mark questions using inference and exploring language. There are suggested answers to allow for self-assessment (and save on marking) I’ve also included a creative writing sample and a homework task.

This is a great lesson! I am really looking forward to using it with my pupils in our 19th Century unit, exploring character. I really like the sample writing essay to support my weaker pupils.
